Greetings Gamers!
My name is Sean and I have only visited your store once during my Maine residence. When I stopped in, I was talking with your owner about Epic. Epic is a great game, but due to severe and unexpected time restraints, I was unable to put myself into that game.
A company by the name of Arcane Tinmen worked out a deal with Tenacious Games to buy the rights to The Spoils, a card game with enough uniqueness, support and unbridled fun that it deserves resurrection.
The first company to run this game basically, to no REAL fault of its own, promised the entire moon to every successful player as well as a cruise and thousands of $ in prizes. After a year or so, it was clear that the money wasn't coming and Tenacious slowly fell apart. Arcane Tinmen, contrarily, is an established company that is now turning its focus on the Spoils; and this is warranted.
A new art style is being incorporated, reducing costs and production flaws. The game itself is a combination of everything we are as gamers. If you have ever referenced another game while you play your favorite, you fit in with the Spoils! If you are a big fan of pop culture and cult culture, you will love the Spoils! If you love well crafted games with a minimized Meta, you'll love the Spoils.
For the owners of Crossroad, I will be working with you and Arcane Tinmen to bring the Spoils to Standish and create a Maine presence. The support for constructed tournaments and casual play alike is tremendous.
I will be into your store on Thursday, 1/21/10 to introduce myself. I don't mean to interrupt existing games, just to introduce this pinnacle of gaming to the area!
If you have any questions, I urge you to go thespoils.com or, of course, you can add to this thread or PM me.
Let me know what your ideas are too! If you know of the right day to play, the right group to get started with or how your group responds to "new" please don't' hesitate to contact me.
Congratulations to Arcane Tinmen on picking up the Spoils! Believe me, it's good news for all of us! _________________ It's fun to have an idea... There, wasn't that fun? |
