This will be done in the same manner as the triple strike tournament with averaging in scores if you play multiple games in a night with the caveat that winners from day one play winners from day one on day two.
I have also planted a make up game day on September 8th so don't worry if you have to miss a day! _________________ Peace is a lie..... |

to Eben: Question 1) What are you talking about?
Question 2) not just annihilation but scenarios. _________________ Peace is a lie..... |

Clesser summoned deamons ount towards point value. But they do not take a 'slot' in the organization table _________________ I wonder if roosevelt ever looked a deamon prince in the face. |

I'm thoroughly confused. Fought today (you posted this past Saturday), and Sept. 1st? It's only Aug. 2nd right now.
Is the 2-day tournament really going to be the team tournament? Doesn't make sense to do the team tournament this way since teammates are random and your partner may not be able to make the following week. Makes more sense to do the team tournament as a normal tournament. _________________

The event actually starts on the 25th of August. It's on the shop calendar.
I think Dave just framed the post for use as the calendar summary, hence the use of the word "today."
Todd Is exactly correct I just cut and pasted it but I just now corrected it. So its the 25th of August and the 1st of September with make up games on the 8th of September. |

So this is a team oriented tourney? Or are we just doing 1 man armies? _________________ I wonder if roosevelt ever looked a deamon prince in the face. |

This is a normal tournament, one person. The team tournament is for September. _________________

I enjoyed the turn out for yesterday. Got 2 games in major defeat by the cheese ( nate w spamming termie armor) came down to turn 7 when my deamon prince failed his last invul to a rend. And a massacre vs. Orcs ( first time playing chaos and he didn't know what zerkers did so I showed him icc.)
Tony, how'd u like them deamonettes? _________________ I wonder if roosevelt ever looked a deamon prince in the face. |

Only one Daemonette lived to get into assault, he had a bad scatter on his deep strike. The Seekers of Slaneesh were pretty nasty though. They chewed through some Termies. He'd have smacked me down with those if he hadn't lost a few before the assault. _________________

Twas a good night.
The scenario was good, definitely made it a thinking game. I would reallylike to see scenarios like that used in "real" events in the future (normal FOCs). |

That was a scenario I wrote so if anyone has feedback regarding it then fire away. The intent was to make getting a massacre difficult, something we've subsequently been discussing.
Also, I heard that some people were playing it with spearhead deployment because it would have been nearly impossible to score a particular bonus point with the written deployment. Just an FYI, the idea of bonus points is that they are hard to get, that's why their bonus points. Not all armies are always going to be able to achieve them, that's again why they are bonus points instead of being a win condition. _________________

Cheaters! Cheaters!
All of the bonus points were achievable in some way, but it was unlikely that you'd sweep ALL of the bonus points in a single game. That was kinda the point. Each bonus rewarded certain styles and methods of play, as well as list construction. |
