Well, do we have the contest for you!
From now until December 5th Sunmesa Events in cooperation with Your Local Professional Organizers
and Major Single Card Dealers are offering you this opportunity:
Take your best shot writing about The2009s State Provincial Championships; submit your article and you
could walk away with any number of Fabulous Prizes.
Categories: Best Overall Article Most Humorous Article Most Poignant Article
Each submission will provide one Award of Merit per category win. Yes, a single submission could win
more than one category. Each Award of Merit will allow 2 choices on our menu of prizes provided from
our Sponsors.
Awards of Note will be given to writers in each category as well. Each Award of Note will provide the
author 1 choice of a prize from the menu provided by our sponsors.
Honorable Mention will be given to 2 additional writers in each category. Each Honorable Mention will
receive a case of Magic: the Gathering Jones Soda
All submissions must be original works, published in a recognized Magic Press source (i.e. it may not be a
forum post) and must discuss The2009s State Provincial Championships in a significant portion of the
submission. All rules are listed at www.the2009s.com

Judges
Chris Galvin
Chris is no stranger to the States Champs program at Wizards of the Coast, matter of fact he helped
design the program! The former Vice President of Organizer Play is continuing his tradition of service to
the MTG community.
Matt Cavotta
Matt is also an avid player, artist and former columnist in his own right. He led the Magic Creative Team
from 2004 to 2006 and also wrote the Taste the Magic Column during that same period. Matt brings a
more casual perspective to the contest judging which we welcome.
How to Submit your Article:
Preferred method is to submit your article as a link to The2009s State/Provincial Championships page on
Facebook. We would also like to encourage you to commit to attending the event via the Facebook page
and invite your friends to do the same.
